East Asian Autumn Festival

The one day celebration provides a vivid introduction to the unique Asian celebrations with the Moon and Lantern Festivals of East Asia. The program features narrated music and dance performances, special demonstrations of folk and traditional arts, as well as community art installations.

The Seabrook JACL and SECC are among the sponsors of the Near and Far, Arts and Cultures of East Asia programs. The October program will be the last of the three-part series which began in April. This event will include performances and demonstrations of people associated with the Seabrook community with performances by Minyo, Hoh Daiko, cultural displays, Ikebana demonstration by Mariko Ono and origami activities by Sachiko Ogata, to name a few. Also, the Origami cranes made by JACL members be hanging from a 10 ft. wide custom-made wire crane.
